Healthy Community Meeting – Mon, Dec 3rd, 5:30 pm

Are YOU interested in improving the health and wellness of Huachuca City and Whetstone? Please join us to discuss how we can make our community a “Healthy Community”! What does a “healthy community” look like, sound like, feel like? We need your ideas and input. Help us develop goals and a strategic plan to reach those goals. The meeting will be held on Monday, December 3rd at 5:30 pm in the Huachuca City Library. This committee is part of the Healthy Cochise Healthy Communities Initiative. The mission of Healthy Cochise is to motivate and guide the diverse communities within Cochise County to actively participate in identifying and addressing the health concerns in their own neighborhoods, towns and surrounding areas. Addressing health, social and economic factors, Healthy Communities Committees afford all community members the opportunity to directly participate in improving the local quality of life. SVMPO Executive Board Meeting November 15, 2018

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization (SVMPO) and to the general public that the SVMPO will hold a meeting open to the public on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 3:30 pm, in the City Manager’s Conference Room, City Hall, 1011 N. Coronado Drive.

A copy of the agenda for the meeting will be available at www.svmpo.org at least twenty-four hours in advance of the meeting.

SVMPO is the designated transportation planning organization for the urbanized area of Sierra Vista, Arizona and surrounding Cochise County.

The SVMPO plans and coordinates surface transportation activities and improvements to maintain a comprehensive, cooperative, and continuing multi-agency transportation planning program for the Sierra Vista region.

$5,000 Reward in Arson Case

$5,000 REWARD – Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest & conviction of the person(s) responsible for the fire that destroyed the Huachuca United Methodist Church on October 18, 2018.
