HOLIDAY BASKET PROGRAM – The town is collecting donations for our Holiday Basket program to help the needy during the holiday season. Toys, money, or holiday food items like pies, boxed stuffing, gravy, etc. are needed. Donations may be dropped off at town hall or the library. Your donations will help make someone’s holiday a little brighter! Applications for the baskets are available at the library. They must be turned by Thu, Dec 13th at 5:00 pm. Approval will be based on need and priority will be given to families with children. For more information contact Suzanne Harvey, 520-456-1063, or Jennifer Fuller 520-456-1354.
As part of the library’s Spotlight on Speakers program, Mr. Johann Wallace, Cybersecurity Expert, will present Safety in the Digital Age. He will discuss ways you can ensure your online safety as you navigate the digital world. With the advent of social media, the internet of things, electronic mail, and online banking, people looking to do harm and take advantage of the unsuspecting person have increased exponentially. This workshop will cover topics such as malware protection, security updates, passwords, wi-fi, scams, phishing and more. If you are concerned about keeping your computer and your personal information safe, this workshop is for you! The workshop will be held at the Huachuca City Public Library on Thu, Dec 6th from 10-11 am.
