In honor of Black History Month the Huachuca City Public Library’s Spotlight on Speakers Program welcomes Sergeant Major (Ret.) Charles Hancock. On Thursday, February 21st at 10:00 am, Mr. Hancock, President of the Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers, will give a presentation on the role of African Americans in times of war from the Revolutionary War to the current War on Terror. Sunset City Books – Grand Re-Opening
The Friends of the Huachuca City Library will hold a bake and used book sale at their New Location on the northwest side of the Huachuca City Library on
Saturday, February 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Buy a book and a cookie or two to support the Huachuca City Public Library! In case of inclement weather the book sale will be held inside the library. Book sales, sponsored by The Friends of the Huachuca City Library, are held monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month. If you are interested in joining the Friends, please stop by the library to fill out an application. There are no fees and it is great way to support our community. Effective immediately, the Huachuca City Police Department will only be accepting House Check Request Forms Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we transition dispatch operations to Southeastern Arizona Communications Center.
