The Town Council & Town Manager will discuss issues in the community to include: town finances, water & sewer rate, Senior Center/Food Bank, Dusk till Dawn, sewer pond project update, and more. There will also be a question & answer session so bring your questions.
Mark your calendars! The Huachuca City Independence Day Celebration will be on July 4th from 4pm to 8pm in Leffingwell Park (next to the library). Join us for free food, family fun and live music. Rowdy Johnson Band will perform from 4pm to 8pm. Fireworks at dark.
At the Senior Center Work Session on May 23, Suzanne Harvey, Library Director, presented a proposal for re-opening the Town Senior Center to provide community/library programs for seniors as well to operate a food bank at the facility. Council approved the proposal. Currently there are necessary repairs being made to the building but we hope to have it open later this summer. Rainwater Harvesting Seminar – Rick Weisberg from Oasis Water Harvesting & Mary Ann Capehart from Waterwise will give a workshop on rainwater harvesting on Sat @ 10 am @ the Huachuca City Public Library. Come learn how to take full advantage of the upcoming Monsoon season. The workshop will conclude with the with a real-time demonstration! Rick will install a rainwater harvesting tank at the library. The tank was funded through a grant obtained by the Friends of the Huachuca City Library from the Upper San Pedro Partnership.
