The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be making TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) distributions in front of the Senior Center at 504 N. Gonzales Blvd on Friday, March 20, from 8 am to 9 am. It will be a drive-thru food distribution and cars should line up on Gonzales Blvd facing south. Future distributions will take place on the 3rd Friday of each month. To apply for an emergency food box, please bring photo ID, proof of address, and the names and birth dates of your household members. Please also remember that you may only receive a TEFAP bag once per month, regardless of where you receive it. To eligible to receive TEFAP, you must meet federal income guidelines. Closure of Town Offices
Based on the White House and CDC’s recommendation to limit gatherings of more than 10 people and to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from one another, Town Offices to include town hall, the library and the senior center will be closed to the public for the next 15 days. Water payments can be made through the drop box outside of Town Hall, by mail, by phone or online through www.xpressbillpay.com. All town staff will be working during this period and available by phone during normal working hours. The landfill remains open at this time. Please note that this is a preventive measure. To-date there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cochise County.
