Notice of Public Hearing April 30th, 2026 at 6:00 PM

Please be advised that there will be a public hearing on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. within the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 500 N. Gonzales Blvd., Huachuca City, Arizona. The purpose of this hearing is to hear the public regarding proposed text amendments to the Town Zoning Code. These new regulations are outlined as follows:

  1. Adding definitions pertaining to proposed text amendments (Section 18.10.010)
  2. Revision to the zoning code to raise the maximum coverage of lots for all buildings to 40% for R-1 Residential District (Section 18.35.050E)
  3. Revision to the zoning code to raise the rear yard fence maximum height to 8’ (Section 18.35.050G)
  4. New provisions to allow Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s) in R-1 Residential Districts (Section 18.35.070)
  5. New provisions to allow Tiny Home Parks in a R-4 Residential District (Section 18.50.010D)
  6. New provisions to allow for mixed uses in a B/C-General Business/Commercial District (Section 18.75.025)
  7. Adding provisions that “no accessory building, accessory dwelling unit, accessory use or conditional use can be erected or permitted on any lot or parcel until the principal building or use has been established or erected.” Section 18.100.135)
  8. Adding design guidelines for Tiny Home Parks (Section 18.100.290)

All persons interested in these proposed text amendments are encouraged to participate in the public hearing by attending the meeting to voice their opinions.

There is also a Citizen Review process that provides the public with the opportunity to discuss and express their views concerning these proposed changes to the Town Zoning Code prior to the scheduled public hearing. The Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Huachuca City, Arizona, may hold one or more public hearings to consider the adoption of a Town Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) Increase, pursuant to A.R.S. Sections 9-499.15 and 42-6052.

The Mayor and Town Council may take action on the proposal at a public hearing held not less than sixty (60) days after the posting of this notice at the Town Hall Council Chambers located at

2026 CDBG Funding

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Town of Huachuca City
Public Hearing Regarding Use of CDBG Funds

The Town of Huachuca City is expected to receive approximately $516,000 in FY2026 of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) Regional Account (RA), and may consider future competitive applications for Colonias and State Special Project (SSP) CDBG funds. CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. A public hearing will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Huachuca City Activity Center, and via remote participation, to gather citizen input on the use of the CDBG funds.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO INCREASE GARBAGE FEES

The Town Council of Huachuca City will consider increasing its garbage fees at its meeting on December 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at Town Hall located at 500 N. Gonzales Blvd, Huachuca City, Arizona.

The increase proposals and fee establishments are as follows:

 

Town administrative/billing fee
$2.00 monthly on each garbage bill commercial or residential
Note: Roll-off containers are only allowed for up to 30 days, 3 times per year; residentially.

This proposed increase is authorized by A.R.S. 49-704; 49-742 and 9-500.35, and Huachuca City Town Code section 8.05.040. Additional information concerning this proposal is also available on the Town’s website: www.huachucacityaz.gov
