Huachuca City Landfill Fee Increases Support Data
The Town of Huachuca City, Arizona, is lower than all of its business competitors in the area of landfill tipping fees. Currently, Huachuca City landfill charges $48 for commercial waste per ton (under 2500 tons annually). Currently the Huachuca City landfill also charges $48 per ton for dead animals, and $48 per ton for charge accounts. Lastly, Huachuca City charges a flat rate of $10 for all residential trash brought to the landfill.
The surrounding competitor landfills charge $64 per ton for these services, if they offer them at all. Also residential trash is $64 per ton at competitor landfills. In an effort to increase recovery of operational expenses at the Huachuca City landfill; the Town of Huachuca City is proposing to increase these fees as follows:
• Increase the commercial per ton fee from $48.00 to $56.00.
• The residential vehicle fee will remain at $10.00 up to 360 pounds of trash. However, over 360 pounds will be charged $56 per ton.
• Increase the dead animals-livestock fee from $48.00 to $56.00 per ton.
• Increase the charge accounts fee from $48.00 to $56.00 per ton.
These proposed Landfill fee increases will be considered by Huachuca City Town Council on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Town Hall located at 500 N. Gonzales Blvd, Huachuca City, AZ.
If approved, these changes would go into effect immediately.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED LANDFILL FEE INCREASES

The Town Council will consider increasing its landfill tipping fees at its meeting on _April 26th____, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Town Hall located at 500 N. Gonzales Blvd, Huachuca City, AZ. The increase proposals will be as follows:
• Increase the commercial per ton fee from $48.00 to $56.00.
• The residential vehicle fee will remain at $10.00 up to 360 pounds of trash. However, over 360 pounds will be charged $56 per ton.
• Increase the dead animals-livestock fee from $48.00 to $56.00 per ton.
• Increase the charge accounts from fee $48.00 to $56.00 per ton.
This proposed increase is authorized by A.R.S. section 49-742, and the Town’s Code section 8.30.030 (A). Addition information concerning this proposal is also available on the homepage of the Town’s website
