Beat the Heat @ the Huachuca City Pool


The Huachuca City Pool is open for business!  Pool hours are:  Wednesday through Friday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Effective July 5th, daily admission is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children (age 4 to 18).  Children under the age of 4 are free.  Daily admission is paid at the pool unless you are paying by credit or debit card in which case you must pay at Town Hall. Season passes may be purchased at at Town Hall.  Season pass for children is $20.00.  Season pass for adults is $50.00.  The pool is also available for rental!  Call Town Hall at 456-1354,  or the Huachuca City Public Library at 456-1063 for more details.
  

Funding for Digital Literacy Center @ The Huachuca City Public Library

The Huachuca City Public Library has been awarded a $32,500 Library Services and Technology Act grant to launch a Digital Literacy Center to increase important digital literacy skills through a series of workshops, drop-in sessions, and ongoing on-line support. Grant money will be used for curriculum development and the acquisition of necessary computer equipment and software. The program will be designed to serve the needs of the community. To that end, the community will be surveyed to determine which topics are of most interest. Topics may include: email, social media, word processing, google docs, digital photo editing, making a web page, searching for a job and more! Participants will have learning opportunities on desktop and laptop computers as well as mobile devices like cell phones and tablets. The program will begin in Fall 2018.

Huachuca City Library Gets Connected with Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots


The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, has awarded $4,285.00 to the Huachuca City Public Library for a pilot hotspot lending program. Library patrons can check out mobile wi-fi hotspots and surf the internet from the comfort of their own homes! For more details stop by the library or see the attached press release. Choose Kindness Week – Press Release & Proclamation

Mayor Ken Taylor has proclaimed the work week of May 7th through May 11th 2018 to be “Choose Kindness Week” in the town of Huachuca City.
The town joins with Huachuca City Elementary School to challenge residents, young and old, to recognize the value of respect, service and thoughtfulness and to engage in acts of kindness, not just throughout the week, but always.
