Public Hearing – General Development Plan
The Town of Huachuca City, Arizona, has scheduled a public hearing before the Town Council on a proposed update to the Towns comprehensive, long-range General Plan for the development of the Town.
The Mayor and Council of the Town invite you to appear at Town Hall to address the Council and make known your opinions on the proposed General Plan update.
The public hearing will occur at the following time and place:

HUACHUCA CITY, ARIZONA
Following the public hearing, the Town Council will consider approving the General Plan. This document helps direct long-term and short-term development regulations and requirements within The Town. You may contact Dr. Jim Johnson, the Town’s Zoning Administrator at 520-458- 3208 or jjohnson@huachucacityaz.gov to obtain copies of all elements of the General Plan.
Individuals with disabilities who need a reasonable accommodation to attend or communicate at a town meeting, or who require this information in alternate format, may contact the Town at 520-456-1354 (TTY 520-456-1353) to make their needs known. 04/29/2017 – 108 Navajo Structure Fire

Re: Structure Fire 4/29/2017
On the evening of Saturday, April 29th, A call was received by the Huachuca City Dispatchers office at 6:10PM regarding a Structure on fire in lower Huachuca City. The fire department was on scene by 6:13PM.
The structure located at 108 Navajo was a total loss. A neighboring structure received minimal damage from the fire. The fire is currently under investigation. All residents of 108 Navajo were unharmed.
The structure did reignite early Sunday morning. The Huachuca City Fire Department and the Huachuca City Police Department were on scene quickly to extinguish the blaze.
Huachuca City Fire Department were assisted by Whetstone fire department and Fry fire district, as well as the Huachuca City Police Department.
Additional information regarding the fire will be released as it becomes available.

04/25/2017 – Structure Fires on Second and Third Streets, Huachuca City

Re: Structure Fires on Second and Third Streets, Huachuca City
Huachuca City Dispatch received multiple calls beginning at 4:48pm regarding a house fire at 112 Second Street. The Huachuca City Fire Department was dispatched at 4:50pm and arrived on scene by 4:55pm. Due to high winds, three other structures quickly became involved. The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
One structure was a total loss, the three remaining structures suffered varying degrees of damage.
The remains of one person and two dogs were recovered from one of the structures. No positive identification has been made at this time. Identification is pending examination by the Pima County Medical Examiner.
Units from the Huachuca City Fire Department, Whetstone Fire Department, Fort Huachuca Fire Department and Sierra Vista Fire Department responded, along with Fire Investigators from Cochise County and Fry Fire Department. They were supported by the Huachuca City Police Department, the Tombstone Marchall’s Office, Arizona Department of Public Safety and Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.
There is no further information at this time. Information will be forthcoming.
