The Planning & Zoning Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers.

The Planning and Zoning Commission was established in to formulate and recommend to the Council a long-term master plan for the development of the City, to make surveys and studies of present conditions and future growth, to hold public hearings on all proposed amendments to the City’s plan prior to going to Council, and to conduct itself in accordance with City Codes and State Statues.

They are also charged with maintaining the town’s General Development Plan (GDP), recommending changes to the town’s Zoning Ordinances to maintain compliance with State and Federal law, or to enhance the overall appearance and charm of the Town; review and make recommendations on plans, conditional use permits, variances, and more.
